Sklar's® Potts-Smith Scissors are a finger ring instrument commonly used for trimming and opening vessels in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. Delicate Potts-Smith scissors are heavier than Diethrich scissors, and can therefore also be used for cutting through plaque. The angled jaws of these scissors are 1/4 the length of the straight shanks and are available in 25, 45, or 60 degrees based on the location of the surgical site and user preference.
