The Sklar Black™ Auvard Weighted Vaginal Speculum is a single end vaginal speculum commonly used in laser OB/GYN procedures. It is available with various blades styles and three weight choices in order to accommodate the needs of the patient and the procedure. The weight holds the speculum in place and provides an open view for the surgeon to perform procedures. Sklar Black™ Laser instruments feature a non-reflective black polymer coating applied over the sandblasted instrument developed specifically for laser surgeries. This safe, durable coating reduces laser reflection to less than one-tenth of a percent, ensuring a safer surgical environment for patients and surgical staff. All Sklar Black™ coated instruments comply with biological testing requirements for cytotoxicity, sensitization regulatory, and ISO 10993 requirements. They also comply with the Pre-Vacuum and Gravity Cycle Steam Sterilization Validation of ANSI/AAMI ST79. Sklar Black™ laser coatings are guaranteed for one year against manufacturing defects.
