Econo™ Sterile Wireform Halsted Mosquito Forceps are used in multiple procedures as a hemostat for small blood vessels. They are available curved or straight, but not appropriate for use with large vessels or arteries. Mosquito forceps are known for their fine tips, and short, fully serrated jaws and may used for dissecting surface tissue also. Wireform forceps are non-ratcheted and will require continual clamping if used as a hemostat. The finger ring handle is simplistic in nature and created by bending a roll of gauged steel into the shape of loops. Wire forming is a common, cost effective process, which aligns with the concept of Econo™ Sterile instruments.
