Sklar's® Ferguson Suture Needle is typically used for suturing organs and vessels in veterinary procedures. The half circle curvature of this needle makes it useful for suturing in difficult to reach areas but almost always requires placement with a needle holder or other holding instrument. The Ferguson needle has a taper point and is available in several sizes to accommodate a variety of tissue as well as the type of suture material being used.
